Biography


Michael-Kennen Miller was raised in Washington Grove, Maryland and began performing at a young age.  He grew up competing nationally in swimming, diving, and gymnastics. As a young athlete, he won several awards including the Maryland State Gymnastics Championship, and has been a professional coach for a number of years in both North Carolina and Manhattan.

Michael-Kennen attended Elon University where he received a BFA in Music Theatre. Upon graduating, he played Willard Hewitt in the National Tour of Footloose, followed by touring as Fyedka in Fiddler on the Roof. Regionally, he has played Link Larkin in Hairspray, Duke in The Great American Trailer Park Musical, Snoopy in You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, Ozzie in On The Town, Wanchese (and Fight Captain) in The Lost Colony , and Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing. Other favorite roles include: Harry in Company, Diesel in West Side Story, Hero in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and Christian in Cyrano de Bergerac.

NYC credits include: Oberon in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Curious Frog Theatre Company), Playya in Zombie Strippers: The Musical (directed by Robert Bartley), Joe Lelyveld in Mrs. Ryan of Maspeth, Queens (The Players Club), and was a featured soloist in Cabaret for a Cause at the the Irish Repertory Theatre (Off-Broadway). Television commercials for: Hello Kitty and Glico Chocolate.

He continues to have a successful modeling career in New York City, working for numerous top photographers, appearing on the cover of fashion magazines, in editorials and campaigns. He’s been fortunate enough to participate in runway shows and events for Calvin Klein, Gucci, Juicy Couture, Undergear, Victoria Beckham, Saks Fifth Avenue, 2xist, Target, Malan Breton, Edwing D’Angelo, Ramon Lawrence, Mosquino, Ben Sherman, Versace, Stevie Boi, and several others.

Michael-Kennen’s educational and professional life has lead him to 18 countries and all 48 continental states. He feels beyond blessed to be living his dream.
